Investigation launched following shooting in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham

Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a man was shot in Birmingham this morning (28 October).

Officers were called to Vernon Avenue, Handsworth Wood, at around 2am following reports of a shooting.
