The Brummie displays aggregated content dynamically generated from external source website RSS feeds in date and time order.
Aggregated content initially appears at the top of the Brummie’s pages and works its way down the list as new stories appear, until it drops off the list at the bottom of the page. Content is not stored in a database.
The Brummie automatically selects items from RSS feeds by using pre-set keywords to identify stories of relevance to Birmingham.
The Brummie credits external source websites for the unedited headline and small extract of content aggregated on its website and provides hyperlinks off to the external source website where content can be viewed in its entirety.
The Brummie is not responsible for content displayed from external source websites and any views expressed are not those of the Brummie.
The Brummie does not accept payment for the inclusion of content from external source website RSS feeds. RSS feeds are selected for their editorial value based on their relevance to Birmingham news, sport, business and comment.
The Brummie seeks to aggregate content from a wide a range of news sources and blogs covering many different subjects and opinions reflecting a wide political spectrum. If you feel your views are not being represented then get blogging.
External source websites are responsible for publishing accurate and non-libelous information, for respecting copyright and other laws governing the publishing of content under the law of England and Wales, European and international law. The use of offensive language, other unlawful activities, such as inciting or encouraging criminal activity or the repeated abuse of the above, including the manipulation of keywords and publishing dates to maintain high ranking on the Brummie’s pages will result in the removal of the external source website from the Brummie’s aggregation list.
The Brummie is not obliged to give specific reasons as to why a website or blog request for inclusion may be declined or subsequently withdrawn.
The Brummie may run advertisements and promotions from third parties. Your business dealings or correspondence with, or participation in promotions of, such third parties, and any terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings or promotions, are solely between you and such third party. The Brummie is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings or promotions.
The Brummie reserves the right to change or modify any of the terms at any time at its sole discretion.
